Getting started with monitoring

The systems we run for you are watched continuously. This is what that means for you.

What is monitored

Every managed system has checks: up or down, responding or stuck, behaving or drifting. The current state is one glance — overall status plus each component.

Setup, once

We define monitors during onboarding of each system: what "healthy" looks like, who gets paged, what counts as urgent. You get the list; challenge anything that looks wrong — monitors are calibrated, not assumed.

Your first incident (you will know it when you see it)

Monitor fires → incident opens → on-call paged → you get a plain-language notice. Full story in Status, monitoring, and incident response.

The one rule

If you see a problem our monitors missed, report it as Urgent. You are often the fastest detector we have, and a clean-monitor report from you is signal, not noise.
